COH Battered Women's Shelter
The chest of hope organization is currently seeking to open a battered women's shelter in Alameda County California.
The goal of the shelter is to provide a safe refuge for all women and children escaping domestic violence. The shelter is designed to ensure that women as well as their children are supported and empowered while they are trying to recover from the violence they have witnessed in their homes.
In addition to safe, confidential shelter, we plan to provide an array of emergency shelter services including food, specialized children's services, individual and group counseling, legal and housing advocacy, and lessons in economic literacy, and parenting skills support.

We are seeking individuals or organizations to provide money or new items to decorate and furnish each of our shelter rooms.
